It’s often difficult to help those who have never experienced Reiki before understand the benefits of a Reiki treatment. I’d like to say that once you experience the beauty that is Reiki energy you’ll understand, but I know you’d like a clearer explanation of what Reiki can actually do for your body.
First and foremost, Reiki is incredibly relaxing and stress reduction is one of the most well-known benefits. Stress reduction does, of course, allow your body to work at its highest capacity, automatically triggering other healing properties as well. The energy in your chakras, or your life energy, will suddenly come into balance – on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels combined.
Some of the benefits of Reiki, many triggered by your ability to relax, are believed to include:
- Increased ability to sleep soundly, and through the night (I’ve had several clients tell me about how wonderful they slept after receiving a Reiki treatment – especially those suffering from worry or physical ailments);
- Pain relief;
- A natural cleansing of toxins;

- An increase in vibrational frequency;
- Emotional and spiritual growth; and
- Many others…
Remember, your body has a natural ability for healing. All you have to do is relax, rid yourself of stress, and allow your body to work with the energy of the universe. You’ll feel better before you know it!
